This page is now an archive to show a community giveaway which finally got to a zero balance on May 30th 2024 thanks to funky – who is the out and out puzzle solver on this site!
The solution was to create a wallet with a private key which would give you access to the funds. That private key is:

The original puzzle:
On March 25th, another XX Coin giveaway was started on the community Telegram which is a little cryptic and has not all yet been claimed.
Update 29th March 08:50am UTC: Someone has now taken 2,000XX from the prize fund, so it now stands at 367XX for anyone who has solved it.
Muon from the XX Telegram was the first to solve the puzzle and took 1XX from the pot meaning they are the winner.
User Rob vD has also shown a screenshot of the wallet meaning they can take the remaining funds at any time too!
The person who took the 2,000XX is currently unknown.
Anyway – there’s still something to play for… for now. And below is how it happened.
Bernie is a developer with XX Network kicked off the giveaway with a little riddle, as follows:
A few hours later, Bernie added in the Telegram:
This evolved into something leading to a honeypot which stood at 367.96XX, currently worth $9.68!

Bulldog, Othman, myself, Robbie and one other added to the prize pot as the community ramped up trying to solve it. Many good guesses have come forth and it has been solved more than once but nobody has taken all the funds yet.
Another cryptic moment came forth from Bernie:
So, in the same vein as my puzzles, you are trying to find a private key which already has funds against it which you can take as soon as you solve it.
Some facts have been established:
- 17 11 2021 (17th November 2021) is the date of Mainnet.
- 25 03 2024 (25th March 2024) is when something Bernie seems involved with happened.
- 5M is associated with the above.
- Hex values are important. Aaron (Cryptowell) hinted ‘0x’.
- Bernie said the solution involved ‘padding’.
- The Nova wallet can import hex seeds.
As disclosed on the Telegram, I did solve it but passed the baton on to anyone else to grab, which is much more fun.
