XX Foundation Releases Roadmap For 2025

On 16th April, the XX Foundation released their roadmap for the year ahead. You can see the official blog post here.

The highlights include:

  • The evolving nature of the flagship group messaging platform Haven, which will focus on developer tools and user convenience through the production of more broadly cross-platform components and software development kits. The user management will be made simpler with a browser extension and the intent is to produce mobile apps, unifying the experience across devices.
  • Updates to the main xxDK to reach more developers
  • The partnerships with both quip.network and superset.finance, focussing on atomic swaps and cross chain liquidity.
  • The XX Wallet incorporating post-quantum crypto for the transactional elements
  • The continued decentralisation of the remaining centralised elements of the network (e.g. the scheduling server)
  • Presence at various conferences including Token2049 Dubai, Scytale Lugano, and W3PN Amsterdam.
  • The Doxxier/OpenVoice framework/dApp. This development project has recently been greenlighted to focus on a core app rather than just a framework so we have a bona-fide use case from the off for the private file transfer that Doxxier (in conjunction with cMixx) offers. The goal of OpenVoice is to give a voice to disenfranchised people who are fearful of being identified, to share sensitive information. Whether whistleblowing in an organisation or in a wider context (journalists, government, broadcast media etc), the fundamental right to free speech and the digital right to privacy are core to its values. Doxxier as a useful developer tool will appear before OpenVoice. Development is to take place throughout this year and updates will be made public as soon as there is progress.
  • The Ant Scoccer game release which is to integrate XX Coin from the start.
