When Will XX Be Listed on Another Exchange?

Last Updated on July 31st, 2024

This is asked frequently because it often feels like XX Coin lacks exposure through the simple fact it doesn’t appear on crypto traders’ radars, being listed on a handful of Tier 2 exchanges. MEXC, currently the most used exchange, serves a purpose to at least keep the coin fungible but exposure to a Tier 1 exchange’s volume is something we all hoped for from the start and continue to do so, if not only to allow for proper price discovery.

At this point (Q3 2024) there are a plethora of reasons why XX hasn’t ended up on a Tier 1 exchange yet, 18 months on from its initial listing. The Foundation cite not only prohibitive listing fees, but requirements for vast liquidity through market makers and the fact the process is incredibly opaque, frustrating and riddled with pitfalls. There have already been cases in the past of the Foundation having an XX listing rejected for spurious reasons after exhaustive application processes and vetting.

Having said all that, the intention to get a listing on a Tier 1 exchange has been put on the Q3 roadmap by the Foundation and apparently negotiations are underway.

Now that the native and wrapped versions of the coin are on several exchanges already and other infrastructure such as the bridge has been completed, coupled with initiatives to grow the community, the Foundation thought it the right time to try for this milestone again.

Further DEX platforms are also on the way such as PancakeSwap. The WXX Coin is already traded on Uniswap. News events of projects/investments/partnerships or just a decent uptick in the trading volume and price may also bring more exchanges’ attention to the project.

Exchanges are free to list the coin at any time either way, and if they already list any Substrate based coins like Polkadot, or ERC20 tokens, then adapting that to XX is fairly straightforward. Refer to the official XX Coin Exchange Integration info for the native coin, or see the ETH contract for the WXX token.
