Echoexx Is Now Phoenixx – A New Name With Cutting Edge Ambitions

Announced on May 24th, 2024, the Web3 messaging and payments platform Echoexx has rebranded to Phoenixx.

Currently in Alpha, Phoenixx takes on a new look and feel to see it through a year ahead full of development before the full launch in 2025. Beta is coming soon and with that are some highly anticipated features including mobile support, file transfer, on-chain identity backup, metadata protected payments, group chats, AI features and more.

The dApp is also likely to be one of the first to incorporate postage later on this year as premium features are introduced.

First launched in Alpha in January, Phoenixx combines end-to-end encrypted messaging with the metadata stripping capabilities of the XX Network’s cMixx to provide possibly the most private chat platform online. People can connect via their Ethereum identities without traversing the ETH blockchain or paying any fees.

To get started using the platform, browse to their site or launch the dApp directly. Also, have a look at the new demo mode when in the app which shows off how it all works without you having to sign in to your own identity.

The company originally behind Phoenixx, BitFashioned, consists of Baltasar Aroso, Bernardo Cardoso and Mario Yaksetig, developers who have been with the XX Network since the beginning.

The name Phoenixx is synonymous with, but not related to the proposed consensus update for the XX Network, which may adopt a different codename after this to avoid confusion.
