XX Integration Announced With The Web3 Talisman Wallet

On March 20th 2024, the XX Network announced an integration with Talisman. Talisman is an in-browser wallet which is used as a browser extension but the accompanying Web3 app also supports many other wallet types including MetaMask and Subwallet. It is a great addition and not only gives more choice for holding the native XX Coin but supports many Polkadot and Ethereum networks and tokens too.

To set up Talisman in most popular browsers, visit https://www.talisman.xyz/ and download the extension. Then, to start using XX with Talisman, follow the short guide below:

Once installed and activated, you’ll be asked to set a password. Then you’ll be brought to this page. Create a new account then select “New Polkadot Account”

You’ll be setting up a new recovery phrase for this account if you’ve never had the Talisman wallet before. Give it a friendly name like ‘XX’ and click ‘Create’.

Run through the recovery phrase screens, this being the first.

Be careful as ever not to reveal the words to anyone as you write them down and store them safely.

There is an extra screen where you verify your phrase – I didn’t show that for obvious reasons! You’ll get this screen when you correctly verify the phrase.

Now, in order for XX to show, you need to send some coins to the wallet. To do this, select the three dots ‘…’ then ‘Copy Address’.

A box will pop up – type in ‘xx’ under ‘Select Network’ and your XX Network address will show. Then copy it to the clipboard and send yourself XX from elsewhere.

Once the XX arrives (should only be a few seconds once it leaves the other end) you’ll see the balance and can use the wallet as normal from then on. Enjoy!
